English at bottom.

Mai 16th was the day of my last final. And I’m only staying in Lyon for one more week. It’s crazy that when I arrived in France, there were more than 300 days, and now, there are only 27 days left. The goal of this year was to improve my level of French. When I got here and I was staying with Romain and Pauline in Paris during that first week, I was able to speak well enough, but I remember there were several times when I would respond without actually knowing what they had said to me. Now, I am much more confident when I speak with someone and I’ve gotten very used to the French life. I am very happy with the progress I’ve made, but there’s always room for improvement.

I’m really sad that my year in France is coming to an end. However, I am also extremely excited to go back home, to see my family and friends, and to continue my life. Besides, I’m sure I will come back to France one day.

I thank everyone who helped me this year.

See you soon, bisous!

Boredom at its finest.

I got bored and decided to find pictures of all my celebrity crushes and pose like they did in certain photos and then I tweeted them with the hashtag #PerfectCouple. Hoping to hear back from one (or several) of them soon. Here they are for your enjoyment! Continue reading

Mother’s Day isn’t really Mother’s Day in France

Mother’s Day in France isn’t celebrated until a couple weeks after it’s celebrated in the US.

So since I can’t celebrate with my mom, happy Mother’s Day, mom!! Love you a ton, enough to span an ocean, and I will see you in roughly 37 days.

“Will you take a picture of me with this giant rooster?” “Sure.”

Paris with the Staley Group

The English Version.

In March, over Staley’s spring break, my little sister came to Paris with a group of 17 other students and 5 chaperones. They did the exact same trip I did when I was in high school and came with the school. They spent 9 days wandering around Paris, the Normandy beaches (where D-Day happened), and the Loire Valley (famous for its 300+ chateaux).

Continue reading
